The Civil Guard is a Public Security Corps of a military nature and national scope that is part of the State Security Forces and Bodies. Civil Guard requirements
The requirements that are requested in future competitions to the Civil Guard are the following:
- Having Spanish nationality.
- Be adult (to be 18 years old) but also not having reached 40 years of age in the year of the call to which you present.

- Be able to credit good citizenship.

Tests that you must pass in these oppositions
In order to enter the Civil Guard Academy and train as such, you must first pass a series of tests: physical, knowledge, spelling, foreign language and psychotechnical. We develop it below:
- Knowledge test: In this test, a questionnaire of 100 questions that are extracted from the syllabus consisting of 25 topics is posed. The exam lasts 1 hour and a half and you must get a minimum of 25 points to pass.
- Spelling test: This test asks questions that have to do with the correct way to write words, as well as the synonym and antonym of each of them. This test lasts 10 minutes and can be failed up to 11 times.
- Foreign language test: This test belongs to the foreign language exam, you can choose between English or French. The exam consists of 20 questions with a duration of 20 minutes. It should be noted that this test is not eliminatory.
- Psychotechnical test: This test demonstrates the ability of opponents to adapt to the requirements to which they are going to derive in the academic period. - Physical tests: They are tests in which they do not give a grade but are passed as "suitable" or "not suitable". There is a speed test, an endurance test, a push-up test and a swimming test.
In addition to the points obtained in these tests, you can add all these points if you meet some of the following conditions:
- Have completed military service: 1 point
- For each year of service in the General State Administration: 1 point
- For service in the military: as an officer, 10 points; noncommissioned officer, 6 points; troops and sailors, 2 points.
- University degree: 8 points
- University diploma: 6 points
- Superior Technician or Specialist Technician: 4 points
- Bachelor's degree: 3 points
- Driving license A: 4 points
- Driving license C, D: 2 points
- Driving license C + E, D + E: 4 points
- Title of the Official School of Languages or accreditation of the linguistic profile of English, French or German: from 4 to 8 points.
