The town hall of the Cordoba town of Montilla is about to start a Employment Workshop whose mission, in addition to promoting training among the unemployed, beautify the buildings and green areas of the town. It was the Deputy Mayor for Economic Development, Aurora Barbero, who explained that the objective of said workshop is to increase the employability of the students.
The Employment Workshop is sponsored by the Andalusian Employment Service (SAE) and 24 students will participate in it, divided into the modules of gardening, painting and cleaning of buildings. Regarding the profile of the student, what is sought is unemployed young people of at least 25 years old and who belong to groups with difficult labor insertion, such as long-term unemployed, women and users of the Andalucía Orienta program.
During the workshop, you are scheduled to have a duration of one yearIn addition to training the unemployed, it allows them to acquire professional experience by performing tasks in the municipality within their areas of qualification, whether it be plumbing, gardening or building rehabilitation.
From the municipality of Montilla it is explained that the request of the programs to the SAE is made thinking about the employment niches that exist in the locality and in its area of influence. Finally, what the council is trying to do is that the students, either individually or collectively, found their own service companies. The services sector is one of the most demanded in Montilla.
