El Councilor for Education of the Navarra Foral Community, Alberto Catalán, has stated that the Secondary competitions that will be held next June are aimed at reducing internship rates by 12%. Uniting the secondary exams with those of primary will be achieved reduce the interim to 8% in the Navarrese educational system.
That 8% was the agreement reached by the government and unions. In the public education network the number of teachers will increase by 235 compared to the academic year 2.008 - 2.009. According to the Minister of Education, the needs of teachers for this year are in the 7.633.
