La initiative comes from the Alcorcón City Council that will develop vocational training courses for employment through the Department of Economy, Employment and New Technologies. The area chaired by the mayor Carlos Gómez has signed an agreement with the Community of Madrid for the development of professional training courses.
These courses have all of them a theoretical part and a practical part in addition to being able to develop the unemployed non-labor professional practices. The agreement that has been reached with the Community of Madrid will allow the training of 700 unemployed persons and the provision of 5.830 hours of training.
The budget for training will be 417.153,42 euros. The courses aim to train unemployed people and residents of the Community of Madrid who are registered in the network of employment offices. There are also places reserved for workers who have jobs. The latter to participate in the training actions must be residents within the territory of the Community of Madrid.
It is a laudable initiative that will allow unemployed people in the town to train in a profession for which there is a job niche. The unemployed, once the training is completed, it is expected that they can even start by registering as self-employed or creating their own company.
