How can I prove my level of languages?

The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) provides for the accreditation in a European language other than the mother tongue for college students. This accreditation may be carried out in three ways:

  • Directly if they have completed certain university degrees (for example, English Philology, Translation and Interpretation or Modern Languages) and / or certain subjects.
  • For documentation provided.
  • By passing a language level proficiency test.

In accordance with the regulations of the EHEA, this language accreditation is essential to obtain the Bachelor's degree, and for admission to University Master studies.

The levels B1 and B2 of English are recognized by the Association of Language Centers in Higher Education (ACLES) and by the Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities (CRUE). This means that more than 200 language centers in Europe mutually recognize the exams taken. Thus, the B1 and B2 levels of English granted by the ULPGC will be valid in France, the United Kingdom, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Poland, Finland and Italy, among other countries.

You can check more information about it in www.acles.es

You should not forget that all accreditation has fixed dates, so it is important that you inform yourself of this last information at your university of studies so that the scheduled date does not miss.
