FOREM organizes free internet courses in San Sebastián de La Gomera

FOREM Canary Islands, non-profit foundation belonging to CC. OO. and a collaborating center of the Canarian Employment Service is organizing two free courses that aims to bridge the digital divide by teaching skills that have to do with Web browsing. These courses are aimed at unemployed people.

The courses of learning basic skills to surf the internet his back and they will be held in the town of San Sebastián de La Gomera. One of the courses begins on October 25 from 8:30 a.m. to 14:30 p.m. The second of the courses will begin on November 15, also from 8:30 a.m. to 14:30 p.m.

The two WWW-related basic skills training courses are found within the Training Plan for Employment 2010 and they are subsidized by a good number of organizations, among which are the Government of the Canary Islands or the European Social Fund.

In addition to being the courses completely free, those students who need it because they live far from the town, will receive a financial aid for transportation. Scholarships for people with disabilities and conciliation aid are also available.
