Table of Contents
1. Structure of a descriptive text
Generally, this type of content is short. And, as the concept indicates, it focuses on the description of a specific reality: a situation, a landscape or a relevant fact. So, the adjective is the element that is very present in this type of composition. Through this kind of word it is possible to put the accent on the nuances. It is not only possible to describe an observable aspect through reference to colors, shapes and textures. The description can also focus on the person's emotional world. This is what happens when a text delves into a state of mind.
2. Structure of an argumentative text
There is a main idea that is perfectly supported by the argument developed throughout the text. The key thesis, therefore, is reinforced by the development of supporting ideas. that align with the final conclusion. The main structure of this type of text is made up of three essential sections: introduction, development and outcome.
If you want to delve into the topic analyzed, read carefully each of the parts of the text. In the first one, an initial approach is made that supposes a first approximation to the subject. In the development the argument is specified in more detail. In the final conclusion, on the other hand, a closing is made by way of synthesis.
3. Structure and characteristics of a literary text
The structure of a text can also have a clearly literary focus. In that case, the words used not only stand out for their meaning, but also for their beauty. The author takes special care of tone and language. In fact, the text is also enriched by the presence of literary figures that add style to the final composition. Metaphor is one of the formulas used. Many of them are directly inspired by nature.
They allow you to create attractive word games to express information in an original way. In short, a literary text unifies information with aesthetics. It matters what the author says, but also how he expresses it. His writing is characterized by an excellent command of the word. It is a dynamic text that avoids the repetition of the same concepts. Thus, is enriched with the integration of other synonyms and antonyms.
4. Structure and characteristics of a narrative text
There are different types of texts, as we discussed in Training and Studies. We have previously indicated that a descriptive composition prioritizes the use of nouns and adjectives. The latter add specific nuances to the composition. Thus, the reader can visualize the information with greater clarity. Well, the narrative text is one that, on the contrary, stands out for the frequent use of action verbs. They are verbs that add dynamism to the narrative. What parts make up a text of this type? The narration begins with the initial approach that is framed in the introduction.
In the later development the knot is located, that is to say, the nucleus that contains the essential information. Generally, it presents the development of a conflict that is resolved towards the final outcome. Action verbs are directly connected to the characters in the plot. In this type of text there is also space for descriptions.
Therefore, there are four types of text structure. The contents can be classified into different groups: descriptive, argumentative, literary and narrative.
