The CEOE requests that training checks be made for workers

The CEOE proposes give training checks to companies so that they are the ones who manage the resources they contribute in terms of training. This is the main of the proposals that will be presented for the Reform of the Continuous Training System, one of the changes expected with the labor reform.

As there are restaurant checks or anything else, it is intended to do training checks so that workers are trained taking into account the needs of the activity and company.

The Spanish employers say that 0,7% share that goes to training, 0.6% is paid by employers and 0,1% by workers, so it is normal that it is whoever pays it who controls it. Of course, the proposal is that the training courses be carried out only in approved centers to avoid possible irregular uses of the funds received for training.

Currently, continuous training resources They are 1800 million euros a year, although they do not always end up being consumed, and therefore company checks can be a good idea.

The CEOE supports the idea of changing training in the country, but thinks that it should be done with state public funds and not with those of vocational training. In addition, it requests that the resources of social contributions for training can only be used by active workers, since training for the unemployed must come from public money. They complain that "under the excuse of the economic crisis" vocational training funds have been diverted to other activities.

An agreement on the training issue is expected to be reached next month, although taking into account the different positions that exist, it seems complicated.
