The Valencian SERVEF will receive an additional € 9,9 million during 2011

Gerardo Camps, Second Vice President and Minister of Economy, Finance and Employment, has just announced that the budget of the Valencian Employment and Training Service (SERVEF) will increase 2,03% next year. This represents an increase in the budget of € 9,9 million, which implies that its overall budget becomes € 494,2 million.

The increase in the budget for 2011 aims to reinforce employment and training policies. The Valencian Government considers the promotion of employment as an inalienable policy, which is why the contribution of unconditional funds for this item has been increased by 55,6%.

The announcement of the aforementioned was made by Camps in the appearance that he carried out before the Commission of Economy, Budgets and Finance of the Valencian Courts in which the budgets of the autonomous community for 2011 are presented. The budget amounts to € 177,35 million.

These budgets represent a 7,3% less than in 2010. The Valencian Government has wanted to underline that they are realistic, austere and social budgets. The budget cuts are for personnel (6,7%), operating expenses (15%) and current transfers (16,1).

With regard to employment, the Generalitat has made a firm intention of attend to the social dimension of unemployment. To this end, it has committed to providing greater opportunities for training and employment to the most disadvantaged groups, such as people at risk of exclusion, women and the unemployed over 45 years of age.
