The Riojano Employment Service will hire 75 unemployed people in the near future of that autonomous community through the programs "First Employment" and "Women Employment" whose activity is scheduled for that year 2010. The initiative has been launched by the Government of La Rioja and has been conveyed through the Riojano Employment Service.
The contracts to which the 75 unemployed will have access will have a average duration of 5 months and will be carried out in the more than 100 selected projects that are being promoted by Non-Profit Entities and municipalities. The two programs mentioned are aimed at providing employment to the youth of La Rioja.
Young people are one of the groups most punished due to unemployment since the crisis began in 2007. In addition, many of the young people, as they have recalled from the Riojano Employment Service, lack any type of work experience which makes their job placement much more difficult.
According to the data held by the Riojano Employment Service in the autonomous community are 4.900 young people who are unemployed, which is 1.700 more than there were in the second quarter of 2009. These data represent a 58% increase in youth unemployment in the autonomous community.
The programs "First Job" y "Women Employment" Their objective is the labor insertion of unemployed workers in the Autonomous Community of La Rioja. Most of the beneficiaries are young people seeking their first job after completing their training.
