How does Google rate affect us?

Text

It was during the past week when the Government of Spain decided to approve the new Intellectual Property. Although at first glance it seems that the regulation only affects issues related to copyright, the truth is that its scope is much broader. In fact, it also has to do with your studies, so we recommend that you be careful. Of course, we are going to take advantage of this article to tell you in what aspect you should think twice before acting.

Internet users have already baptized one of the sections as the "Google rate". It is not for less. The company itself has already been against this approval, which is raising more than one complaint on the Internet. So that you know what it consists of, we will tell you that when a link to content by another author is published, we will be forced to pay a certain amount of money ... which in some cases will not even go to that owner.

There are many students (including ourselves) who post their own work online, often for free. Are they also affected? If they publish a link or cite other sources, yes. In fact, we will be left without the right to claim even if did we mention texts that have a Creative Commons license.

Explaining it in other words, if you do any type of work that includes mentions to other authors, you will have to pay the management entities. And the amount can be quite large, so we recommend that you be very careful about the situation. The rule, if Europe is not mentioned in this regard, will come into force next January 1 of 2015.
