Students of the University of Oviedo protest against the cuts

  cathedral

The students of the University of Oviedo organized a day of protests against the cuts that have been taking place in recent months in education. It was a day of strike under the slogan "Nobody in class", and as expected it had a fair following among the students of the university itself and many other citizens directly involved in education: parents and teachers.

The students thus show their protest against measures that harm the right of every citizen, which is to be able to access academic training. In the case of universities, the severe cuts affect in the form of increases in rates, that is, the enrollment to access the university, also the credits are affected. For this reason, various mobilizations have been called from various parts of Spain, with Oviedo now being the focus of attention of the student body.

On this occasion they also showed their dissatisfaction with the cuts in scholarships and in the greater number of obstacles to access them, something that greatly limits the possibilities of study, nowadays, within any public university in Spain, directly affecting the most modest economies.

These protests are not the only ones that have occurred in Spain in recent weeks, since the educational field shows great disgust with the numerous measures that the government of Spain is taking and that do not benefit students and their students at all. families, in addition to directly harming the group of teachers.
