With the arrival of new technologies, a new type of format began to be developed that has become increasingly popular. Little by little, more and more books have been published in electronic format. They are popularly called e-books.
This type of invention, as we have already said, has become more and more famous, even to replace some of the books that are written today. This means that some authors are avoiding having to publish their writing in paper format, which is saving them quite a lot costes.
However, we would like to give a little thought. Computers are spreading widely in the classroom, which has made us begin to wonder if ebooks could one day become replace the textbooks.
All the qualities there are many. Costs are saved, space is saved and, of course, all the material is easier to transport. Students will only need one computer. Do not forget that this also has its disadvantages, since we will need a plug for the PCs, as well as enough battery if we have to carry out any special activity.
Although we should be thinking more about the and advantages and disadvantages that exist, the truth is that books in electronic format are beginning to be an interesting alternative to paper format. They are cheaper, take up less space and, in general, make it easier for us to be read.
We do not know what you will think, but we are beginning to believe that the various electronic formats are here to stay, so it would be a good idea to take at least a first look at them. We are sure that new technologies will help a lot in classrooms.
