Yesterday we presented you with some free online courses that started in the fall from two different MOOCs platforms. Today we bring you two other platforms and their course offerings most requested by their students. These are the already well known Coursera platform and the not so named, at least in Spain, edX platform.

If you want what are their most requested courses and which are currently open enrollment, stay with us to read the rest of the article. If you want to take a look at the courses that we presented yesterday on the UNIMOOC and 'Future Learn' platforms, you can give here.

EdX platform

This platform belongs to the universities of Massachusetts and Harvard. In addition, it offers a wide range of courses from different universities in the world, among which is the Autonomous University of Madrid. If you want to know which courses are the most requested and also the most interesting to take, we leave you with the list:

  • TOEFL Test Preparation, a course that helps those people who are learning English to improve their skills in order to help them pass one of the most recognized certifications in this language.
  • From farm to table: food safety in the European Union, a course through which the European Union's responses to food safety can be learned. Very fashionable today, knowing exactly what we eat and its benefits.
  • Playing with Android - Learn to Program your first app, where the student will learn to program interactive games for the Android operating system through the step-by-step development of an application. This course is very well received year after year.
  • Philosophical idealism: how to make worlds with ideas, an interesting course that will show the current, and sometimes dramatic, character of the conceptions that from Greek philosophy have been called idealism.

Coursera platform

Coursera is the best known and most used open course platform in Spain. It originates from the American universities of Priceton, Yale and Stanford and offers courses from these and other American universities, in addition to IESE or IE in Spain. Among the most popular courses to choose from this fall, the following stand out:

  • Introduction to Big Data, courses offered from the University of California in San Diego, aimed at all those who want to specialize in this important area that, every time, has a greater demand.
  • Excel to MySQL: Analytical Techniques for Business, from Duke University, where the student will learn to use various tools for business analysis, such as Excel or MySQL.
  • Business fundamentals, offered from the University of Pennsylvania, a practical course in which the student can learn in a practical way to manage a business, either to create it from scratch or to make it grow.
  • Basic algebra, of the Autonomous University of Mexico, which will help the student to solve some mathematical problems of our day to day.

Now that you know them and have a choice, we are calmer. That there is never a lack of open, free and quality education.
