From pencil to pen, a necessary change

Pen

When children begin to study, in order for them to write, a pencil of those of a lifetime. This will allow them not only to learn to write, but also to erase the texts they deem necessary. The mines that are included allow this possibility, so that, in this way, they have multiple possibilities at their disposal.

However, as they progress through the different grades, children (not so young anymore) will be forced to write with somewhat different material: pens. They may have already had the opportunity to paint with similar tools, but they had not written with ink that could not be erased. Something they will have to learn, to which they will have to get used to.

Although at first it may seem easy, the truth is that the task can become quite complicated, since there will be many times that they will be confused and they will not be able to erase the mistakes. At first, they will have to cross them out, but later they will realize that they can use the famous tipet, that is, a white paste that will cover the errors, and on which they will be able to write again.

Regardless of the way they write, little by little they will go getting used to to the pen, ending up writing only in this way. It will even be the one that they will have to use in the official documents, so it will be better for them to familiarize themselves with it.

In some higher courses they will be allowed to choose between pencil or pen, but it is clear that the second will become an inseparable companion from any student's case.

I still do not understand the pedagogical meaning of writing with a pencil, in what way, this practice helps the child, tearing paper is important, making paper balls too, dancing is important, everything has a pedagogical sense that strengthens their brain so that they develop other activities more easily, but I cannot find a pedagogical explanation of how writing with a pencil or ballpoint pen impacts on a child's brain, because if it is to erase, with Tipex they erase, so just like writing with a pencil, I mean, the option erasing is the same, and I am looking for the pedagogical sense, because writing with a pencil, for example mathematics is something super cumbersome and ugly, for example, you correct several times, I do not always do it the first time, also while you learn it is super annoying, I I am a university professional graduated with honors, and they never forced me to write with a pen, only a notebook, one, in Spanish, which was special, and I could not erase it even with typing, the rest, the Piz, if you can explain me, it would be fabulous, because I want to help my children.
