Some tips to study better

When we are studying, any help we can receive to better establish the knowledge that we are acquiring as we advance in the subject, much better. That is why today we want to leave you with a series of general tricks for you to study better and it is easier for you to see the progress in said study. Days before, we also presented you with an article closely related to this one that we bring you today, and we were giving you more tricks, this time to memorize better. If you missed it and want to read it, you can right here.

What are those tricks?

  1. Sleep is essential for the human being, but it is even more so for those who are studying and keep their minds active most of the time. Therefore, rest the necessary hours, but review what was studied just before going to sleep. Why? When you sleep, an incessant neurological activity begins in the brain where sleep fixes what has just been studied. Therefore, when you wake up the next morning, you will remember better what you studied just before going to bed. For this reason, it is almost preferable to study the hours before sleeping than to get up early to do it.
  2. Study for 25 minutes straight and the remaining 5 minutes take a short break. So until you finish the daily study hours that you plan to meet. Why? Because after 25 minutes of concentration, it begins to decline. Therefore, it is better to do short periods of study at 100% concentration than to spend hours and hours distracted and absent.
  3. When you finish the study, think about whether are you able to explain to a child or an elderly person what you have studied. If you are not able to simplify in plain and simple terms what you have studied, you have not done well.
  4. If you do not have time to study following the necessary steps (previous reading, comprehensive reading, underlining, diagrams and / or summaries, memorization and self-evaluations), they are more useful self-assessment tests than outlines and / or summaries of the topics. One study proved that this method increased the volume of learning by 50% compared to others.
  5. Take your own test. If you fail in questions, you will be aware that you have to keep reviewing concepts. If, on the other hand, you are correct in the questions, this will serve as extra motivation to continue with the study with much more courage than before.
  6. Flee from literal memorization and be creative when studying. Invent stories around what has been studied (even if they are very fantastic and meaningless) gives more fun to study. You won't get so bored!
  7. Stay away from distractions. Restrict the calls and apps that are most "attractive" to you for the duration of the study. Put the mobile on silence or simply turn it off during those 25-minute study phases that we said in point 2. Check it out during those 5-minute rest that you will have between study and study.

What do you think of these tricks? Tools? We think that they are and that they are not difficult to carry out. Find the motivation you need and start studying now. Your future depends heavily on it!
