Thoughts college students have

thoughts of college students

College is a time when people can learn about themselves and discover what they want out of life, but it is also a place where people question themselves at every turn. If you've been to college, chances are you've thought if it was worth it or not, or even if you made it to graduation.

Here are some thoughts that every college student has had at some point in their college experience. You may feel identified if you've been through this before! And if you haven't been to college yet but plan to, then it is more than likely that you will think of these thoughts one day ...

I need to rest

It seems that the homework at the university is endless. Even before finishing half a class, you'll be sleepy enough to take a six-hour nap ...  Classes get overwhelming so quickly and easily that our brains seem to be fried before we have a chance to make it to the next break.

How did I survive being in high school all day when I can't even hold one class for more than an hour?

Being an adult, it is difficult to understand how you are able to sit in class all day when you are little, five days a week, in the whole school. It seems legitimately impossible to do something like that right now. Even in a 50 minute class, we are all counting down the minutes until we can get up and go. How are we going to be able to hold out in a real job?

I'll get up early tomorrow and finish it

This is the biggest lie anyone will ever tell. We all know that you will get up about 5 minutes before class starts and that you will run there almost in your pajamas. Do not fool yourself.

I can wear these clothes tomorrow again, classmates x won't notice

We are all repeaters of outfits. You can't say you've never done this before. We all have our days where we just don't want to put in any effort. Those days are generally reserved for the days we go to class where we go to bed. Repeat outfit days require at least a little more effort than just not changing at all.

Did you have something to do for today?

We all know those Sunday nights too well. There has been a point where you have been in bed almost asleep or you have simply realized that you forgot to do something for a class or several classes. This moment is the mini heart attack we all have when we realize that we forget we have real responsibilities after a weekend of partying or doing absolutely nothing besides eating and watching Netflix.

I'm going to stop studying and start working on anything

College is difficult and can be annoying. Doing something else, however, could be fun. And they could pay me for that as opposed to paying thousands and thousands of euros for an education that you don't even want? You could earn tons of money and not have to deal with student loans ... but in the long run you will regret the decision you made.

Vodka mixes well with everything

If you like vodka, add soda, lemonade, other alcohol ... anything. The vodka will mix well with it. It is the easiest and cheapest way to drink for little money. It's also scary how well you can hide the flavor of vodka with just about anything. Oh good. Have a fun night!

I wish I was a golden retriever in an upper class family

Nothing sounds more tempting than this. They would spoil you your whole life and you wouldn't have to do anything but doggy-yoga or something like that. It would be great to be a dog in a rich family. Why couldn't we be so lucky?

How much money could I make if I stayed in bed for the rest of my life?

This is the ultimate paradise: staying in bed all day and just watching Netflix, having to get up and worry about being a true adult. What could be better than that?

What a beautiful day not to be in high school

Sitting up in bed, after getting up at 11am for a class at 11.30am, is one of the best feelings in the world. It's amazing that we were able to get up at 6 in the morning every morning to go to school and stay there for eight hours a day. None of us could take something like that right now. No no thanks.

College is one of the best times of your life. It is a place where you learn more about yourself and meet people who will be your friends for life. There will never be another time in life when you can go out on a Thursday night and still make it to your 10 a.m. class. The real adult world will be different… and you have to prepare for it.
