UGT La Rioja's new 2011-12 training plan includes a total of 23 courses aimed at unemployed workers, of which 13 will be for the first time in La Rioja approved courses with a certificate of professionalism and seven for special groups.
The courses have been presented at a press conference that was attended by the Secretary of Training and Equality of UGT La Rioja, Teresa Rodríguez. This position of the UGT has revealed that the training courses will take place in Logroño, Calahorra, Alfaro, Santo Domingo, Arnedo, Haro and Nájera.
From the UGT it is considered that training for employment is essential at a time when there is 22.700 unemployed. In addition, the UGT also wanted to emphasize that training is also important for those employed, as a way to escape unemployment.
Regarding the 13 courses in which a certificate of professionalism is offered upon completion - to take them it is necessary to be in possession of the school certificate or ESO certificate - the most prominent are those that have to do with socio-health care for dependent people, one of the future employment niches in the region since the aging of the population is evident.
