What are the types of high school that exist

There are many adolescents who debate themselves to choose the type of high school that they believe will open the doors of their future more easily once they finish this educational stage and decide to do a training cycle, go to university or opt for other job options.

Choosing the correct baccalaureate is necessary to be able to access one type of future job or another, especially in order to choose a university career, the professional training that you want to carry out, carry out higher degree artistic education or take the test to obtain title of senior technician.

The baccalaureate is a set of studies that are carried out after having studied ESO (Compulsory Secondary Education). You are planning to have them done in two academic courses. This modality is designed for those people who like science and technology. The careers or professional opportunities that fit with this modality are medicine, veterinary medicine, industrial technology, architecture… among others.

Modality of Humanities and Social Sciences

This modality is aimed at people who especially like literature subjects. For example, you could think of career opportunities that are related to teaching, law, journalism, advertising, business management, among others.

Arts mode

This modality is designed and directed for those people who are interested in fine arts or other types of superior artistic professional opportunities.

How to choose the most suitable modality for you

Before choosing one or another modality to study high school, you should take into account above all, what are personal concerns and how you want your future to be. In this sense, it is necessary that you do a reflection exercise because of this decision your future may be one way or another.

When you choose a type of baccalaureate, you should find out at the Institute about the subjects that will be studied in that specific baccalaureate and know if it is really what you want to do and reflect if these subjects are according to you and your personality.

If you have a clear professional career from the beginning then you will not have problems, you will only have to study the baccalaureate that facilitates that exit and the subsequent studies at the end of this formative stage. If you can enter any modality, then you should only be guided by the subjects that you like the most.

If you do not know what you want to do with your life but you are clear that you want to attend high school, then it will be necessary for you to speak with a counselor or psychoeducationist. You can pass the vocational guidance test to undo any doubts you may have for your future training. Maybe you have different interests and you don't know which one to choose right now.

You should also take into account the career path you would have in the future and if these studies can give you good job opportunities. In this sense, you can think of studies that you like but that at the same time can provide you with a good job in the future. But in reality, it is better that you base yourself on your tastes and interests, because studying something you don't like is never worth it, what's more, you may waste years of your life studying something you don't like thinking about future work and that later you are not happy because you do not like what you develop. On the other hand, if you like what you are studying, you will surely find a way to live from it.

Do not be overwhelmed with choosing high school because no option is irreversible forever. If when you start a baccalaureate it does not convince you, you can always consider the option of changing the modality.
